Description
Lot 70
1968 Jaguar 3. 4/ 340 Saloon
Reg. no. NCJ 533G
Chassis no. 1J52006DN
Engine no. 7J525948
Introduced in 1967, the 2. 4 litre 240 and 3. 4 litre 340 were the ultimate developments of the much-loved Mk. II, which had set the standard for the class throughout its entire production life. This very attractive Carman Red 340 was first registered on the 16th September 1968. It is a very low mileage example having covered just 29, 300 miles by November 2020. The very low mileage is probably the reason for several MOT failures and breakdowns. There are numerous invoices supporting recent work, including nearly £5, 000 spent in 2021. There is a V5C, details of the mileage and MOTs, plus literature relating to an appearance the car made in a stage production in Oxford when Inspector Morse actor Kevin Whately was also filming Lewis.
Estimate: £16, 000 – 18, 000
