This well constructed Riley MPH replica was purchased by our client in 1998 . It has the correct details and is registered as Sports on the V5c together with a VSCC buff form.
The engine is a powerful 12/ 4 unit of 1500 cc modified by Keith Pointing.
Modifications include :
Race camshafts
Ported head
Inlet valves increased to 15/ 16ths
Hardened valve seats
Omega Pistons
Phoenix conrods
Baffled sump.
Carbs replaced by SU 1 ¼ inch
Skimmed brake drums and brake lining replaced by Gordon Middleton,
Driving through a preselecta gearbox with a rear axle ratio of 5:1 the car on a rolling road develops 77 bhp at 5000 rpm at the rear wheels.
