Rarely do cars such as this MG come onto the market with known history and with such low mileage.
This amazing MG Magnette left the factory and was registered on 8th October 1959 and purchased by its first owner a Mr. Thomas Brunt on the 21st of that month. He kept the car for 23 years and when it left his keeping it had covered approximately 13, 300 miles. The next owner, Mr. Frank Harrison retained the car for the next 36 years only covering a further 4, 300 miles.
The car is presented in its original Cherry Red colour. The interior is in matching colour and has a lovely mellowed look. Just after purchasing the MG the last owner had a stainless steel exhaust fitted as there was a hole in the silencer of the original. Other perishables and consumables were attended to at the time and since then the car has been carefully maintained with many invoices in the file for work carried out.
The car is offered with a current V5c and an extremely comprehensive history file. The file contains a BMI Heritage certificate, the original warranty certificate, old MOT certificates together with the corresponding tax discs of the correct years, the last MOT expired 5/ 10/ 23. 1887 NX also featured in the February 2019 edition of Enjoying MG. A new owner would have many hours of happy reading going through the well organised files.
