Description
Auto Storica is pleased to announce the sale of this MG MGA. Few brands evoke the spirit of classic British motoring as much as MG. Founded in the 1920s by Cecil Kimber, MG (Morris Garages) quickly established itself as a benchmark for lightweight, affordable and fun-to-drive sports cars. One of the brand's greatest successes was the MG A, launched in 1955. Its design was a radical departure from the brand's previous offering, adopting fluid, aerodynamic and modern lines that made it an immediate success in Europe and the United States. This model marked the beginning of a new era for MG, not only aesthetically, but also thanks to its excellent dynamic performance. Our model is an MG A from the series produced from 1959, equipped with a 1, 588cc engine developing 79 bhp. This version was a significant improvement on the previous 1, 500cc models, offering more agile and refined performance thanks to its light weight, ideal for enjoying both leisurely rides in the countryside and sportier driving on twisty roads. As you can see, this model has been fully restored, with particular attention paid to the smallest detail to bring it back to its original splendour. The bodywork, in an intense brilliant red, boasts clean lines and perfect proportions that, more than half a century later, continue to captivate at first glance. The interior has been restored faithfully to the original materials and finishes, preserving the unique atmosphere of mid-twentieth-century British roadsters. The smooth, precise gearbox makes every journey a pleasurable experience. This MG A is not just a car, it's a piece of living history. Whether you want to add to your collection or discover the wonderful world of classics, you'll love it from the moment you drive it. Whether you want to show it off at rallies, take part in historic rallies or simply enjoy a weekend getaway, authentic emotions are guaranteed. Turning the key connects you to the road in a way that's hard to find in modern cars. Happiness has never been so accessible.
