Description
Introduced in September 1960, the estate version of the Mini was marketed under the names Countryman (for Austin) and Traveller (for Morris); it was based on the extended chassis of the Mini Van, some 25 cm longer than the classic Mini.
Decorated with decorative wood panelling, it acquired a rustic style sometimes nicknamed 'Woody', much sought-after by city dwellers and rural enthusiasts alike. The model we are presenting to you was sold new in France, and is a 'flat roof' version (only available on models up to 1965) that has been completely restored!
Under the bonnet, you'll find the famous 850 with the magic wand gearbox, a fuel-efficient engine that's nonetheless hard-working (we managed to push it to 120 km/ h).
The interior is identical to the original, and has also been completely redone. Would you like to visit us?
