Unique, body-off restored 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 Coupé 4. 2
We now have a truly unique and beautifully restored 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4. 2 on offer in our showroom. This car was imported to the Netherlands in 1990 and has been a valuable and cherished possession ever since. The restoration was carried out with love and attention to detail by Mr. Henk Janssen, who spent over 10 years and at least 2, 000 man-hours perfecting this beauty.
Mr. Henk Janssen was more than just a mechanic; he was a perfectionist and a creative artist. His craftsmanship is clearly evident in the body, chassis, and interior of the car, each of which has been meticulously executed. But his true work of art lies under the hood. All pipes are stainless steel, hand-bent to size and polished to a high gloss. The mounting plates, washers, and brackets are also handcrafted from stainless steel, better than the original. Even the nuts and bolts are stainless steel, with some having been lathe-finished with a special prism. This is craftsmanship of the highest caliber.
Sadly, Mr. Henk Janssen passed away, and his daughters approached us with the request to prepare this car, which had been sitting idle for 10 years, for sale. We invested over €20, 000 in materials and labor to restore this Jaguar to its pristine condition. All of this work has been documented digitally and in writing.
The specifications of this beautiful Jaguar are as follows: a 4235 cc inline 6-cylinder engine with 246 hp, three SU HD8 carburetors, a 4-speed manual transmission, Girling disc brakes with servo assistance all around, and new tires all around.
Please take a good look at the photos. If you are interested, you can make an appointment for a FaceTime conversation, or make an appointment in our showroom. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays by appointment.
