This is my rare 3. 5 V8-engined X350 XJ8, which is on the road in daily use with an MOT to January 2017. It's the top-spec SE version with sat nav, air con, alloy wheels and many extras including full leather - as befits a luxury Jaguar.
The 3. 5 V8 engine is the ideal balance of performance and fuel economy, with the lightweight aluminium body giving it superb agility and handling.
The car looks well in metallic grey, though there are some minor blemishes and imperfections as you'd reasonably expect for a 2003 car, please study the photos carefully. A slight dent on the rear wheelarch lip is really the main thing to note. It's admired wherever it goes and by friends and neighbours. This model is beginning to gain classic status as Jaguar didn't manufacture very many, especially in 3. 5 V8 form.
The interior is a wonderful place to be, nice and clean, with all the extras and a lovely smell of leather, with wood cappings to the dashboard and doors. Everything works inside and the air conditioning is nice and cold. Despite the miles the interior looks barely used.
There is a fully stamped service history to warrant the mileage. The car starts, runs and drives well, though there's various messages displayed eg suspension fault - though the car rides and handles well, suggesting to me a faulty sensor rather than anything serious. Also the gearbox and engine management lights are on. The mileage is quite high, 204000 miles, though this shows the car's had an easy life on the motorway, and my experience of Jaguars is that the higher mileage examples are generally the better ones. But bearing these points in mind I've priced this as keenly as possible, though as spares or repair - but try finding an MOTd X350 V8 for less than £1650. ono.
