Service History: 2002+ invoices past 15 years! Timing Belt replaced 2011, 13K ago. Recent Past services 14. 08. 14 / 11. 10. 15 / 08. 06. 16 (Air Filter & steering rack boots) and, just last week 14. 07. 17 when a new Starter Motor was acquired.

Bodywork replacements: N/ S and O/ S Front wheel arches, Footsteps (both sides), Outer sills (both sides), N/ S inner sill, new O/ S Inner & Outer wings, new Rear Inner/ Outer Crossmember, O/ S rear spring hanger, floor section & inner rear corner, O/ S Floorpan and wheel arch. O/ S rear window frame. RNS corner pillar. All Doors replaced with excellent used examples (driver, passenger, side-pull & tailgate) and utilise same key. New front bumper.
Exterior: New Witter 12N towbar with step (yet to be used!), new complete exhaust, new roof vent, 4 x new premium tyres, brand new spare tyre, new quality Bosch S4 battery, new Bosch wipers, new front brake discs / pads, new passenger door mirror, painted with Rustoleum RAL9010 rust inhibiting paint, marine grade stainless steel trim panel screws, tinted rear tailgate screen, new Autohomes decals.
Interior Upgrades: Excellent used front seats (VW) both mounted on 180 degree swivel mounts, new Sony Head Unit (Aux in, USB) with new speakers and aerial, new 12V / 240V LCD TV, new dashboard bulbs throughout, new fog light switch, 3 speed heater switch fixed, Fitted additional 240V sockets at front of van, replacement LED ultra-bright strip lighting, new rail or popper mounted blackout curtains in deep aubergine, reinforced upper bed; complete new plyboard floor and carpet (veltrim) throughout, polystyrene fully insulated panels, recovered rear seats / side panels with new grey fabric and professional veltrim.
Cosseted Life: stored on battery conditioner. Regularly cleaned and polished. Restoration removed all signs of age. New plywood, fabrics, carpets, trim throughout so looks and smells like new. No leaks.

Condition: For a 28 year old vehicle, I think it is in very good condition due to its very limited use, careful ownership, regular maintenance and £2500. 00 recent restoration.
Location: between Presteigne, Powys and Pembridge, Herefordshire, HR5 on the Welsh border.
Conclusion: Rare to find a MK3 Transit, especially one this restored and with reassuring documentary and 120 image provenance. It is a nice and reliable example, with the benefit of also being a future investment if regularly maintained. Engine has done 125K but always starts first time and will cruise at 70mph if required. It is super easy to service and does not lose coolant or oil. Condition of the bodywork, paint finish and screen seals, etc. are in line with its age, but remain very presentable. For the highly critical, there are some ripples in the bodywork, seen only from some angles, where filler over welded sections could be better finished. Based on the Autohomes Frontier this is a unique blend of classic, 1980’s DIY Ford mechanics with some modern comforts, plus lots of extras included in this sale.
