Here for sale we have an original paint and patinated Station Wagon, complete with 7 seats.
As with all genuine Land Rover® Station Wagons, it enjoys a host of extras.
To the interior there are 7 seats, with the 4 in the rear being of tip up type. There is a carpet set fitted, and the roof is lined, with air vents fitted. It's a nice place to be!
Externally, there is a tropical (safari) roof, alpine lights in the roof (so that passengers get to see out), sliding rear windows - all part of the station wagon package. There is a two bar with electrics fitted too. What perhaps stands this vehicle out from the crowd is that the paint is the original factory finish - it's lovely, with all the scuffs and worn off paint one would expect to see from an unrestored vehicle... this finish is impossible to replicate and is something that should be preserved. Vintage plates boast that this original Station Wagon is tax exempt. The genuine station wagon badge is also retained.
The vehicle comes with a fair sized paperwork folder, with lots of servicing receipts and old MOTs, hinting at good maintenance. Our schedule highlighted some tired looking rear springs, so we have renewed them and added a couple of new shock absorbers for good measure.
This vehicle feels nice to drive, with unusually light steering - very nice. As usual the engine pulls well and it drives as it should.
In summary this is a very original, genuine station wagon with original paint. It also benefits from being tax exempt - a real bonus - if you want to transport 7 people in relative comfort ( For a series ) without paying road tax, then this fits the bill!
