We are delighted to present for sale this pretty series 2a, in popular colour configuration. On the outside, the vehicle has several period features - such as the bonnet mounted spare, correct 650 tyres, vintage numberplates and rear grab handles. Some modern additions have been made, such as the free wheeling hubs to provide better fuel economy and limit axle wear, along with the towball and electrics at the rear. Door mounted mirrors have been fitted to aid visibility when driving.
On the inside, there is a full deluxe seat set in the front, with deluxe matting to the footwells. A working heater is fitted, which is a rare item in series 2as of this age. The rear, although unfitted, could house bench seats and this would increase capacity to seven occupants.
Out on the road, the mechanical upgrades make this vehicle a joy to drive - parabolic springs make for a more comfortable ride, and the 200TDI engine gives good power and torque, making cruising a more relaxed experience.
