The Appeal

It’s hard to know whether the W221 S63 is a four door super saloon or a four door supercar, such is the sheer scale of its performance. Its AMG-tuned 6.2L M156 V8 engine is good for 525bhp, enough to catapult up to five occupants to 60mph from standstill in 4.6 secs.

The appeal of any S63 is that, beyond the badges, it looks much like a standard W221 S-Class. This car leans into that theme with its classic ‘black on black; colour scheme, only the big AMG alloys hinting at its true potential. Inside it is all high end luxury, the black leather accented by extensive burr walnut veneers.

Any S63 is highly specified as standard, but this one left the factory with over £15,000 of options, which we’ve detailed below.
