Description
The Jaguar E-Type, unveiled in 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show, is regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever produced. Designed under the direction of Malcolm Sayer, it captivates with its flowing lines, long bonnet and slender silhouette. A true icon of the 1960s, it embodies both British elegance and sporting performance. Its inline-six, smooth and powerful, allowed it to reach remarkable speeds for its era. The E-Type quickly won the hearts of car enthusiasts around the world. Its monocoque chassis and four-wheel disc brakes testified to a clear technological lead. Available as a coupé or roadster, it offered a driving experience as exhilarating as it was authentic. Its refined interior blends sportiness with discreet luxury. Produced until 1974, it remains today an essential reference among classic cars. A timeless symbol of British craftsmanship, the Jaguar E-Type continues to fascinate classic car enthusiasts.
This E-Type underwent a complete restoration in 2017. The accompanying file traces each stage of the work in detail, with numerous photographs and detailed invoices. Its Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms its original specification, with its superb Pale Primrose Yellow paint paired with a Black interior. Since the end of its restoration, it has covered around 2, 000 kilometres, indicating measured use.
Recently, it has undergone a major refurbishment carried out in our workshops. The work includes, notably, the installation of electronic ignition, an aluminium radiator with an integral fan and triggering sensor, as well as a complete rebuild of the carburettors. The engine and gearbox seals have been thoroughly overhauled, the front axle has been fully restored, and the rear brakes have been renewed with discs and pistons. The front suspension has also undergone a complete renovation. In addition, an aluminium centre console, a leather-trimmed dashboard fascia, and stainless-steel manifolds paired with a Big Bore exhaust system were fitted. Today, this E-Type is ready to hit the road, with no costs to incur.
