Jaguar Type E FHC Semi Lightweight of 1963
Admissible to almost all competitions: Peter Auto, Masters, the 6 Hours of Spa,
the Tour Auto, the 100 Hours of Modena, and many more.
FIA HTP certified until 2030

Designed by Malcolm Sayer, the Jaguar E-Type made its debut in 1961, embodying a perfect blend of beauty and performance. Its aerodynamic lines, innovative suspension and its 3. 8‑litre inline six allowed the E-Type to quickly dominate races and rallies, notably with a class victory at the 1961 24 Hours of Le Mans and wins at the Tourist Trophy. Drivers such as Graham Hill and Briggs Cunningham praised its balance, power and responsiveness, making it a favourite on both track and road. Journalists hailed it as a masterwork, The Times calling it the “most beautiful car ever built”. Its lightweight monocoque construction and independent suspension set new standards, cementing its legacy as an icon of 1960s motor racing.

The fixed-roof coupé version of 1963, derived from the Semi-Lightweight E-Type, combined ultimate aerodynamic form with the elegance and determination of a race and rally car that was easy to drive. Drawing on the factory Lightweight programme, the Semi-Lightweight feature aluminium panels, a wider track, competition suspension and improved braking capacity, while retaining the sturdy steel components and road comfort that ensure reliability as well as rally capability for classic cars.

The E-Type remains a benchmark in historic motor sport: its timeless design and competitive spirit continue to delight drivers and spectators at marquee events such as Le Mans Classic, Goodwood Revival and the Spa Six Hours, while being equally able to shine in classic road and circuit events such as the Tour Auto and the Modena Cento Ore, or to target championship trophies in series ranging from Peter Auto Sixties Endurance, Masters Gentlemen Drivers, the GT & Sports Car Cup, the Equipe GTS and the SuperSixties.

The car we are offering was imported from the United States in 1995, then prepared for historic racing. After years of competition success, the current owner commissioned a complete bare‑metal rebuild in 2021, including the installation of alloy body panels, a new 3. 8 L racing engine, a new transmission and a new suspension. Since early 2024, the car has been used only in 3 events at Spa, Zandvoort and Dijon. It has been fully inspected, is like new and ready to race.

This is a unique opportunity to acquire a car at a competitive price, ready for all major historic events such as Peter Auto Sixties Endurance, Le Mans Classic, Goodwood, Masters Historic Racing, the Tour Auto, the Modena Cento Ore and many more.
