History:
Motors Corner is delighted to present for sale this Porsche 911 L 2. 0 Sportomatic SWB with the distinction of being matching numbers and matching colour. It dates from 04/ 1968 and was delivered new in Belgium, in its original 6808 Burgunderrot (burgundy red) finish, with a black leatherette interior. It comes with its certificate of authenticity, original service booklet and user manual. It currently displays 25, 500 km on the odometer. Of the 1, 110 coupé examples produced for this version, only 347 were fitted with Sportomatic.
Mechanical Condition:
The 1, 977 cc engine develops 130 bhp, equating to 11 fiscal horsepower. The car is equipped with the Sportomatic transmission: a 4-speed manual lever where the clutch engages automatically via a vacuum-operated system coupled with a torque converter, eliminating the need for manual clutch operation. The vehicle underwent a complete restoration several years ago and is presented today in perfect condition, approaching concours standard.
Interior Condition:
The interior, trimmed in its original black leatherette, has been restored in meticulous detail for its overall presentation.
