Chassis number WF0BXXGCDBXP64096 - T for Turbo, 230 for BHP, built as a development prototype for the Ford Focus RS with similarities from the Escort RS Cosworth. Eight examples were produced as a design project between Ford, Mountune, GMD, DPRS and Gordon Spooner Engineering. The T Series Focus (T190, T230, T250 & T230R) paved the way for the first RS Focus. These cars were not the prototypes to the RS but were dealer specials with certain cars built to spec or you took your Focus to the dealer to be converted. The idea was to fill the gap left between the Cosworth which has ceased production during 1996 and the RS which was another three years away from release. These car are not officially recorded on the registration documents. We believe specification included a Garrett T25 bespoke turbo, Volvo T5 turbo injectors, Ford Cougar 2. 5 (ST200) fuel pump, additional 12v harness to fuel pump, Pectel T2 ECU, custom downpipe, front mounted intercooler, Quaife LSD, Cobra bucket seats and custom matching rear interior and front splitter/ spoiler with choice of rear spoilers. The vendor and current registered keeper has owned this 26, 711 mile example for almost 4 years and the car is presented with an MOT until February 2019. The car is declared as a 2. 0L Zetec on the V5, and therefore it is up to the owner to declare the car correctly for insurance purposes. Quaife have kindly supplied copies of the Brochure for the Special Edition Focus models concerned, a photo of W373ODX the Quaife car along with an extract from their 2001 catalogue which shows their products as used on W373ODX their test car for the then new sequential gearbox, stating the that W373ODX was fitted with Quaife front and rear uprights. Their covering correspondence states that if any future owner has any further questions they would be happy to be contacted. The vendor informs us that the car has recently been fully serviced including a timing belt, tensioner and water pump.
