A wonderful opportunity to buy and improve a previously restored 1961 Land Rover Series 2 88" Petrol.
Garaged and unused for the past 7 years, sadly it's registered owner passed away recently, and we were contacted by his family to find a new owner for his pride and joy. We have carried out some recommissioning work, and TSY480 now is looking for somebody who will cherish her and carry out further works to return her to a fully roadgoing example. Current mileage shows 50, 000 which we are unable to verify.
TSY480 has been the subject of an older restoration - many items are new; the chassis and body have been professionally restored in the past, and are in remarkably solid condition for a 59 year old Land Rover. The paintwork, although not perfect, shines beautifully, and overall TSY presents highly. The interior finish can be improved upon, and many original features are intact.
We have rather too many restoration projects here ourselves at present, so offer TSY for sale for completion by a discerning new owner to the high standard it deserves.
She starts, stops, runs and can be driven. We believe that a competent enthusiast will be able to bring her back to life with relatively little work. Alternatively we are happy to carry out further improvements under instruction from a new owner in our workshops. She represents great value at the asking price, with room for further financial investment within the budget of work that needs to be completed. (We originally listed this as a 1960 Land Rover. Upon checking the current V5 we discover that it was actually registered in 1961).
