Description
Land rover series 1 107 station wagon
this 107 station was a CKD shipped out to Australia late 1958 and was assembled at regent motor, Melbourne. it was sold to Pioneer Tours, Alice Springs where it was stationed, to take tourist from the air field to the tours spot.
it is still painted in there livery and
after it was replaced in the 70's it when to live on a farm where it was found and shipped bk to the uk.
it currently in as found condition. with its original engine and gearbox. th bulkhead is in extremely good condition with only suface rust, and the chassis has had repair over it life, due to use, instead of corrosion as with main of the ozzy land rovers, it has had a bush made rear cross member.
i bought it with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. but due to other projects its now up for sale.
i have got it running, and replaced the missed matched wheels and tyres with a new fresh set of 700 X 16 bar grips as originally fitted from new.
starts on the key and is mostly complete.
it is also the second to last 107 station ever made. which is confirmed with the dating letter i have from Land Rover Ltd.
this is a project, so there is work to do, to bring this lovely wagon back to life, there is no brakes, the wiring could do with replacing, among other mechanical items.
i have a V5C in my name and i have a set of number plates.
