Here we have my stunningly original Land Rover Series 3 Fire Appliance L4T.
Originally purchased by the Dorset Fire Brigade and supplied new to Allen View Road Station, Wimborne.
The Land Rover is still in its working clothes, and I have pictures of it from when it was still in service. I do have some paperwork and pretty much all known history.
Since leaving the fire service the Land Rover has spent many years in a private collection, until recently being recommissioned.
Its only done 26, 000 miles from new!!! Which I believe to be genuine.
Its MOT'd until July next year and of course will be MOT exempt next year. Its also currently TAX exempt as its still registered as fire service.
During the recommissioning many new parts have been fitted, to name a few -
New wheel cylinders all round, brake master cylinder, front brake hoses, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, new fuel tank, fuel sender, water pump, complete exhaust system, the list goes on and on.
It drives extremely well, and runs superbly.
The chassis is in very nice shape, as well as all other usual suspect areas.
In the rear as you can see from the pictures, there is a water tank, with hose real on top, there is a PTO driven water pump under the vehicle and this all works. There is a hand throttle on the dash to control the speed of the engine while pumping water.
There is a selection of fire equipment included please see pictures, however the "branch" (the bit to squeeze to make the water come out) has been borrowed from a friend. This is not included although of course I will ask if he's willing to sell it.
The blue light and siren on the roof is in working order.
The interior is in good condition and is in the same great patina look as the outside.
