We are delighted to present for sale this very handsome Series 2a, presented in rare Mid-Grey with limestone wheels and sand canvas.
Externally, the vehicle is largely standard with many period features – the deep sills, bonnet mounted spare, vintage numberplates, wing-mounted mirrors, rear grab handles and recent canvas. 700 tyres (slightly larger than standard) are fitted and these give both additional gearing and a nice stance. Free Wheeling Hubs are fitted to aid economy and reduce front axle wear. The paintwork is of a spray finish rather than a brush, and the finish is to a good standard, better than we see with most vehicles of this age.
The interior houses three front standard seats, with a deluxe carpet set fitted throughout, and front door cards with deluxe matting to the footwells. This gives a nice premium feel to the interior, whilst giving additional sound deadening for a more relaxed ride. The rear is unfitted, with just a load mat to the rear floor.
Out on the road, this old girl drives just as she looks – giving a pleasing period driving experience. The petrol engine is a sweet unit, and she stops just as she should.
