Time to sell my lovely Series 2a Land Rover Firefly Fire Engine.
It served at the Uniroyal tyre factory in Edinburgh from new until withdrawal in 1997. My old friend rescued it and began the restoration. He sadly passed away and I took on the vehicle. It has covered a little over 10, 000 miles and has won several classic vehicle events. Don't get me wrong this is not perfect, there's always little jobs that need doing on a 55 year old Land Rover but this is very good!
I'm only selling as another Land Rover project has come up.
Has some equipment with it and the siren and flashing light work, as does the winch.
Had several people asking if there's any equipment in the lockers? So thought I'd add a few pics of contents and interior.
Also tried pump yesterday and it engaged smoothly. Will put some water in and try out later.
UPDATE: Tested pump this afternoon and old girl still pumps water!!! Photo attached
