Here we have for sale this recently refurbished Series 3 Land Rover®, presented in popular light pastel green colour scheme, with limestone wheels. We have sold this vehicle in the past and due to ill health of the former owner, we are now able to present it for sale once again.
Externally, there are lots of period features – the bonnet mounted spare, front and rear spots and rear grabhandles to name a few. These are tastefully mixed with modern features, such as the towball and electrics and defender door mirrors, to give greater visibility to the driver. A full set of recent 750 tyres are fitted, complete with bonnet mounted spare – these don’t only look the part, but also help to increase the gearing whilst giving a strong stance too. The bodywork is also better than we normally see – and it is evident this is a vehicle with a sprayed finish, rather than a brush. The canvas and sticks are recent items too.
The interior houses a set of three standard seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. Door cards are fitted for that deluxe feel. There is a stereo and speakers fitted too – these come with bluetooth, AUX and USB (they even have hands free calling with a microphone!)- so you can charge phones whilst driving along, listen to music, have a conversation on the phone safely and use google maps for directions through the stereo. The rear is fitted with a set of bench seats, with a load mat to the floor to protect against damage.. There is one full set of keys and all the doors lock for security too.
Out on the road, this vehicle drives just as it should. There is a large folder of receipts for mechanical work and maintainance, which is great to see and shows care in the previous keepers hands. The larger rubber and the free wheeling hubs give better fuel economy than standard and make cruising quieter, which is a nice touch. Within the large history pack are MOTs stretching back to the late 1990s, which show the mileage of 15, 300 (on the clock now) to be 115, 300 today. This equates to less than 3000 miles per year since it was built 39 years ago – very low, even for a vehicle of this intended use when new! It is very rare such records exist for a car and this is why we rarely ever quote the mileage – as without it, we cannot be sure of the true odometer reading.
In summary, if you are looking for a well sorted Series 3 Land Rover®, which will soon benefit from MOT and tax exemption (next year), with a low and genuine mileage, a strong history folder and tasteful upgrades, then this could be for you.
