Built at great expense in 2017 by DNA Automotive, this stunning Ferrari 250 California Replica has been finished to an exceptional standard, and only the most knowledgeable will recognise that this car is not the genuine item.
Finished in classic Rossa Corsa, and sitting on gorgeous chrome spoked alloy wheels, it is the finer details of this car that really sets it apart. Lovely chrome work, period badging and a 4 branch ANSA exhaust are particular highlights, whilst the large domed driving lights set into the iconic cheese cutter grille complete the exterior beautifully.
Unlike many replicas that impress on the outside and disappoint on the inside, this car’s interior is a delight and looks authentic and period correct. Plentiful analogue dials finished in ivory over black are set into a black crackle dashboard, whilst the low back sports seats, center consul and door cards are trimmed in soft tan leather. The perfect finishing touch is the lovely Nardi Torino three spoke wood and chrome steering wheel which is flanked by a pair of period chrome and black column stalks.
Underneath the stunning bodywork and interior are the mechanicals and chassis of a 2001 BMW Z3 sport powered by the famously smooth and vocal N54 3. 0 Litre straight six. These well proven underpinnings and powerful engine enable this car to drive exceptionally well whilst be extremely useable, with a host of modern features such as an electric hood, ABS and air conditioning being present.
Accompanying the car is a large history file including numerous invoices relating to the donor Z3’s service history which confirms this was an excellent example prior to conversion, together with invoices and build photographs from DNA of the conversion.
