This is a high spec car with many modifications.
Suspension wise, it has Hoyle front suspension, Frontline Engineering 5 link rear suspension and runs on 15x5. 5 minilite wheels with Toyo Proxes tyres. Cornering is exceptional compared to a standard B. Brake wise, the car is fitted with V8 discs, and Rover SD1 4 pot calipers. Two years ago we carried out an engine conversion to a 2005 Mazda MX5 1. 8 VVT engine and gearbox with about 80, 000 miles. The engine bay has been stripped out to give a very clean finish. A Canems ECU drives the engine. The car runs well, but I believe tuning on a rolling road would be worthwhile. The engine puts out around 140 HP and is much more economical than a standard engine. It has a custom stainless exhaust which sounds wonderful. Body work wise, I believe the car was rebuilt on a new shell in the past. There is no structural rust - the shell is absolutely sound. However, there are a fair number of stone chips and minor blemishes on the paint work, especially in high impact areas. The only real problems we have had body work wise were the sill rear quarter panels which we replaced two years ago. There is some minor surface rust on one of these. All the members, doors, posts etc have been treated with Dinitrol (waxoyl). Inside the car has leather seats. The fuses have been moved into the drivers footwell as part of cleaning up the engine bay. The car has Stella Lux LED headlights. Note that the gearbox does not drive the speedo or odometer.
A GPS speedo is fitted. The car has a 12month MOT valid to 11/ 01/ 23, with one advisory on slight play in the nearside track rod end. The advisory on the rear drivers side brake will be corrected before selling. Other faults I am currently aware of: the radio does not work; the voltmeter does not work. In heavy rain a few drips of water find their way into the cockpit on the drivers side. The rear window demister works, but a few of the strands do not function. One of the interior lights does not work. The handbrake position and seatbelt undone warning lights do not work.
