For Sale.
The legendary ‘Pete Wilford’ Trials Land Rover. A Classic Competition 80 inch and also a highly useable road going Series 1 Land Rover. Buy it and drive it home. Fully roadworthy.
GJU has a competition history dating back to 1971 with Pete's entry in the Proteus Trial, followed by competing in the, now legendary, 1972 Welsh Hill Rally. There followed continual Trials, Comp Safaris and Team Recovery events with The Peak & Dukeries Land Rover Club and others. In 1989 Pete and I laid out a trial in Northampton for The Leicestershire Land Rover Club. Returning after a long, wet and cold day, Pete dumped GJU on its trailer at his cousin's farm in Kibworth, where it sat until 2019. Having been trying to buy it for thirty years I finally persuaded him to sell it to me and took it to Ben Stowe’s. Ben had the engine running within 24 hours! Three months later it was finished and back on the road.
