Just testing the water with my really special mk1 escort. It’s currently not really ready for sale. But if the right person wanted it, I could make it happen. So here’s a brief on the car, with some photos. If you are serious let’s talk.
The car is a Mk1 escort fitted with a Chevy v8
I’m only the second owner
It’s finished in a gloss black, with outstanding bodywork. The door gaps and forest arches are amazing. It’s got a large RSR spoiler which can be removed if it’s not to your taste, although this is one Extreme escort. Front RSR spoiler, polycarbonate window kit, with sliding windows and brass pins. All new rubbers and chrome work. Front and rear screens new. The engine is the v8 Chevy with a 6 speed M5 gear box. 3. 0 capri baby atlas axle. These 10j wheels are extremely rare from a 1970’s race car, ATS make. The bonnet is the original 1970 savage v8 bonnet. The doors and boot were imported from Malta totally rust free old stock. Large tunnel, adaptive steering and suspension to allow for the engine transplant. The suspension is adjustable, 8 linked axle, turreted and reinforced for the power. The interior is sound proofed and carpeted, with some Ford Focus rs seats and 6 point harness. Fully welded in roll cage, carbon fibre roof skin and door cards with alloy finishings. I could go on and on, I have invoices totalling over £40, 000 the labour alone for this would be insane. You wouldn’t be disappointed in this car, it’s very special and taken me 10 years to finance find parts and build. I’m not in a rush and I feel sad I’ve only done probably 70 miles in it. I feel the uk needs to see this car and it needs to be used and appreciated. Magazines have said they would love to feature it I just don’t know what’s best for the re sale value. So maybe a new owner could go that route if they wanted too. Serious enquires will be responded too
