Beschreibung
A fine example of one of the first post-war Jaguars. HXH 81 has been traced by the Jaguar Heritage Trust, and has been issued with its own "Production Record Trace Certificate".
The history of the car is unclear, but is believed to have been owned by a doctor in the Midlands from new, and left unused and stored for decades before being rescued and restored for use as a Wedding Car. Its colour has been changed from the original Gunmetal to a stunning Blue/ Silver combination The car is in remarkably good original (and almost completely rust-free) condition throughout, and starts, runs and drives well (with the usual caveats for steering and braking for a car with cross-ply tyres and rod operated brakes - all part of the experience with a 75 year-old car).
Recent work carried out includes refurbished carburettor, brakes and restoration of the leather seats.
