We are delighted to present for sale this high-specification Automatic Land Rover® 90, with forward facing rear seats, finished in Metallic Blue with Boost Alloys. This is an interesting prospect – this is an automatic, coil sprung Land Rover with Power Steering which will not attract road tax or MOT in just 18-24 months time….. incredible to think that such a usable vehicle will become so hassle-free!
Externally, there are lots of features of note – the boost alloys with road biased tyres, spare wheel with JB 4×4 Wheel Cover, side step rails for easier access, defender style door mirrors for better rear visibility, towbar and electrics to allow towing, rear step for the access of rear passengers, etc etc etc.
On the inside, there are two highback front seats, with the middle area housing the automatic gear change selector. There is a switchable interior light by the drivers right knee. A stereo and speakers is fitted, which is very welcome. There is a sunroof too, which will be useful for the warmer weather. A dog guard is currently fitted (this can be removed easily at no cost and will be supplied with the car). In the rear, there is a pair of forward facing rear seats with belts – this is really rare to find in a 90 of this age, and expensive to retrofit, so it is great to see this – it also means car seats and booster seats can be fitted, so even young kids can come along. There are a pair of sliding side windows, along with alpine lights – this gives a really bright and airy feel in the cabin, particularly the rear.
Out on the road, this 90 is a breeze to drive – the automatic gearbox not only means that those with an automatic only license can drive this Land Rover®, but it removes the heavy clutch pedal – welcome for traffic and town work. Coil springs mean a far improved ride over the earlier Series models. Power Steering is also fitted, which again – makes it far easier to drive, particularly when parking or doing low speed manoeuvres. It is incredible to think in just two years a car so modern to drive will not require an MOT & road tax.
In summary, if you are looking for a Classic Land Rover®, but cannot stomach being without creature comforts such as power steering and coil springs – then this could be for you. With classic insurance, upcoming MOT & Tax exemption, and the ability to carry rear seat passengers whilst facing forwards, this is well worth considering.
