This beautifully presented, very original Jaguar XJ40 XJ6 3. 2 litre has covered 67, 000 miles, has had just three owners from new and comes with an exceptional history. Manufactured on the 4th October 1990 and finished at the factory in Jade Green with Parchment leather trim, the car was supplied new by Jaguar main agents Mann Egerton in Worcester and still retains its original supplying dealer number plates and rear window sticker. The Jaguar comes with spare keys, original handbooks and the service book is impressive with the supplying dealer stamping the book at 1156, 6847, 16100, 22371, 25043, 27198, 29906, 33033 and 35211 miles. H A Fox Jaguar began maintaining the car in 2001 with services at 36678, 37180, 38024, 38615 and 39393 miles before the supplying dealer serviced the car again at 39744 and 39904 miles. In 2008 the first owner had the final service during his ownership at 40808 miles.
In 2011 the XJ6 changed hands for the first time, selling to a Director of Jaguar Cars Ltd who placed the car in his private collection and had it stored/ displayed. The car remained on display until 2016 when the most recent owner purchased the car and had it delivered to renowned Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Technical Director Ken Jenkins for re-commissioning. The XJ6 was serviced, MOT tested and put back on the road describing it as exceptional and a time warp. Ken Jenkins serviced the car at 41038 miles, and since then The Jag Specialist in Doncaster have maintained the car with stamps in the book at 46960, 52309, 56761, 60130 and most recently in 2022 at 66, 619 miles. The Jaguar has also been Dinitrol treated to preserve the superb, original underside. Adding to the impressive service book, we have MOT's dating back to its first one in 1993 and a huge file of invoices for maintenance over many years.
There are so many selling points to this lovely, original car including the spec with full leather, factory fitted sunroof and factory fitted alarm and immobiliser. History, low mileage, low ownership and the beautiful, largely original condition makes this example somewhat unique. The bodywork is excellent, paintwork of a very high standard, and the original leather, carpets and dashboard just beautiful. Mechanically the XJ6 is excellent having been maintained to the highest standards from new. The car is wonderful on the road offering impressive performance from the 3. 2 six cylinder engine, smooth gearbox and first class handling. This is a true time warp, its correct, largely original and is a real collectors piece that will be difficult to repeat.
