The “50th Anniversary” edition was created by Alfa Romeo UK to celebrate 50 years since the original Duetto Spider (first launched in 1966).
It is a limited-edition run, only 50 examples made for the UK market.
Available in just three body colours:
• Competizione Red
• Madreperla White (Pearl White)
• Giallo Prototipo (Yellow)
Here are the extras and styling cues that come with the 50th Anniversary edition, over a standard 4C Spider or base spec “TBi Spider”:
Exterior styling & Carbon - Carbon-fibre roll bar, carbon lateral intake, carbon fibre mirrors, carbon dash pod, instrument panel surround etc.
Limited-Edition Badging / Plaques Numbered plaque inside (centre console or somewhere visible), “50th Anniversary” badge on mirrors or elsewhere outside; some have special badging on mirrors.
Sports / performance-style leather seats (contrast stitched), leather dashboard, matching stitching, special carpets or floor mats; more premium trim than standard.
Race exhaust / more sporty / more aggressive exhaust note.
Multi-spoke 18/ 19-inch alloy wheels, with dark finish; unique door mirror badging; special exterior finishes matching the limited colours.
The 1750 TBi engine in the Spider is a turbocharged 1. 742-litre petrol unit 240 bhp with about 320 Nm of torque.
Peak torque is very accessible—around 1, 400 rpm—so in-gear pull is strong without needing to rev.
Acceleration 0-62 mph is about 7. 7-7. 8 seconds, top speed ~146 mph.
