ONE OF THE LAST V12 E-TYPE ROADSTERS PRODUCED AND ONLY 19, 000 GENUINE MILES FROM NEW!! The 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster was the final-year of these luxury sports cars and featured Jaguar's beautiful 5343cc All-Alloy V12 Engine producing 272 bhp and 304 lbs-ft of torque and it was mated to either a 4-speed Manual Gearbox (as in this car) or a 3-speed Automatic with standard Power Steering, Limited-slip differential and servo-assisted 4-wheel Ventilated Disc Brakes, all designed for smooth, high-speed touring. Performance figures were an impressive 0-60 mph in 6. 4 seconds for the Manual car and with a Top Speed of 148 mph. There were a total of 7, 990 V12 Roadsters produced and over 70% were sold in the USA. Only 1, 872 RHD examples were built between 1971 and 1974 with the last V12 Roadster - Chassis No: 1S 2872 being built on 12th June 1974, and this represented the end of an era for the Jaguar E-Type. This car, Chassis No: 1S 2765 and Engine No: 7S15650 is an original RHD UK 'Matching Numbers' car which supplied new by Henlys Ltd in Piccadilly, London W1 to Mr John C R Dennis - the Grandson of John Cawsey Dennis who along with his brother, founded Dennis Brothers in 1895 and who produced motor cars and commercial vehicles in Guildford. - and the car was registered on 1st January 1975 with the number plate GYM 506N. This car is is finished in Signal Red with a Black Leather interior and was specified with the desirable 4 Speed Manual Gearbox and factory Hard Top as well as its standard Black Everflex (vinyl) soft top and Chrome Wire Wheels. This is a completely original example which has not been the subject of any major refurbishment other than servicing and replacement of service items, and it is in truly exceptional condition throughout and it has only covered an extremely low and genuine 19, 027 documented Miles from new! It was purchased from Mr John Dennis by its 2nd owner - a Mr R A Dodd of Rottingdean, Brighton in 1982 when the car had covered circa 17, 200 miles and Mr Dodd kept the car in his heated garage and only drove around 700 miles during his 21 years of ownership before the car was purchased from specialist Racing Green by it 3rd and current owner in August 2003 as an investment. He put his own personal number plate DIB 504 on the car in 2011, but this will be removed before sale and it will revert back to GYM 506N. It has spent the last 20 years in Tigastor secure storage facility in Leighton Buzzard and covered less than 1, 000 miles during this time, although they MOT'd the car every year as part of their service. The car has every MOT certificate from 1982 onwards verifying the mileage + service invoices, its original Passport to Service Book with service stamps from Jaguar Dealer Coombes of Guildford, its original Handbook, old Tax Discs and much more.
