Mk1 Escort fitted with 2. 0 Zetec and 5 Speed Type 9 Gearbox and RS decals. This is a very solid car which starts runs and drives well. You may have seen it recently on the Giveaway Guys competition site. The winner took a cash equivalent so we have it for sale. The car is with us, we have the V5 and some paperwork but not a huge amount of history.
Body - Later style MK1 Escort shell which is very solid and original underneath. Centre floors are painted body colour. No signs of any welding being needed for the forseeable. Good panel gaps, RS wings. Paintwork is Modena Green with RS2000 Decals. Paintwork is very tidy. One very minor bubble on edge of bonnet otherwise very good looking car.
Mechanics - 2. 0 Zetec with retro Ford fitting kit and water rail, twin 45 webers, 5 speed type 9 gearbox. Rear disc conversion, LSD. Car was fully serviced in October 2025 and also front discs and pads fitted, rear calipers fitted, brake fluid change, gearbox oil change, new steering rack, new wiper blades. It starts runs and drives well and is smooth but i feel its got more to give. I think either fuel pressure or getting the carbs looked at will make it significantly quicker
Interior - Contour front bucket seats with matching rear, 6 dial dash which all works, battery relocated to the boot. very tidy car inside
Wheels - Mexico / Rs deep dish steels with good 175/ 70/ 13 tyres
