Description
Few British sports cars capture the spirit of the 1960s quite like the delightful Austin-Healey Frogeye Sprite. Instantly recognisable thanks to its iconic headlamp design, the Frogeye has become one of the most sought-after and enjoyable classic sports cars on the market, offering wonderfully direct driving characteristics and timeless charm.
We are delighted to offer this beautifully restored example, first registered on 1st January 1961, approximately four months after leaving the factory. Finished in its correct and highly attractive Cherry Red, the car presents superbly throughout and is a real credit to its previous custodians.
Remarkably, this Sprite has had just two owners from new, with the second owner acquiring the car in 2024. We understand the car was restored to a high standard around 2018 and has covered very few miles since completion, leaving it in excellent order both cosmetically and mechanically.
Mechanically, the car retains all the characteristics enthusiasts appreciate, including the original-style 948cc A-Series engine, standard drum brakes and attractive wire wheels, giving it the authentic appearance and driving experience that made the Frogeye Sprite such a success.
Ready to be enjoyed immediately, whether on sunny weekend drives, classic car rallies or local shows, this charming Frogeye offers a rare opportunity to acquire a low-ownership, beautifully restored example of one of Britain's most iconic sports cars.
Part exchange welcome, classic or modern, with funds either way. Viewing is strictly by appointment. Please contact us for further details or to arrange an inspection.
