Capri 2. 8i 1983 December 5 speed, black 122k miles (cannot verify but seems correct), good condition inside and out. Fitted with a recent exhaust and Sony CD player, also fitted with original pepper-pot wheels. Underneath has been wax oiled, and is in solid shape. There has been welding but has been well done. Full years MOT till (June 2012) and taxed to July 31st. This is a well-presented car but does have blemishes and is not concours or a show winner, I’d say condition 2. There is a small history file with some receipts and old mot’s and a manual etc.
The interior is clean, and in very good condition the front seats are replacements as originals were stolen along with the piece of head-cloth that covers the sunroof. The carpets could do with replacing though the car comes with a spare set which are in excellent condition. There are other bits and pieces to go with the car, including the original cassette player though knobs are missing. . The car was stolen and recovered and is Category D and comes with an HPI report to state this. Basically the car was stolen and driven a couple of miles and started to be stripped but they were disturbed and left with minor damage. Front seats were stolen so the replacements don’t match the rear ones.
It recently has had a number of parts fitted including, new water pump, brake calliper, front bushes, rear wheel bearings, battery etc. The engine is in great condition and the car drives really well.
The wheels are in excellent condition including a spare alloy wheel and the tyres are good. Around the boot area inner wings are in great shape and the tailgate is in perfect condition. The car has just had a service with consumables replaced and brake system overhauled, this assured that the car passed MOT first time without any advisories.
The car has been re-sprayed a while back and there are areas of bubbling and paint imperfections but nothing serious. When she is polished up she looks absolutely great and does turn heads. There is loads of driving left in the car and you can have lots of fun over the summer and indeed everyday if you choose to do so.
I’m selling as I need the space as a new project is on the cards. I’ve owned the car since November last year, there doesn’t seem to have been loads of owners which is a good sign. The car is reliable and drives really well and is reasonably fast for its age.. Please email me if you need any more pictures or have any questions.
