Here we have for sale a Mallard Green big turbo Escort Cosworth.
Now before I begin this car was unfortunately registered on a Q plate it's had 2 owners and states escort cosworth on the logbook. The reason to the Q plate was because the shell (A Genuine Escort Cosworth Sunroof shell) was bought brand new from Ford by a Baines engineering tuning company to be used as a track car. The plans changed for this and the car was then built up as a road car using all genuine Escort Cosworth parts. As you can see from the picture she is very well presented and is ideal for someone looking to own an Escort Cosworth for a fraction of the money. The floor is unstamped and has the SAV chassis number on the suspension turret. The shell is one of the most solid I have seen, it has never been welded and there are no signs of it needing any, underneath is very clean and it is a very solid car.
The car has spent most of it's life in storage going by the receipts and mot's. From 1997-2011 she was in storage and re-mot'd in 2011. The car is currently Mot'd till October 2016 and the car has covered 3012 on the clock.
She has recently had a new waterpump cambelt, tensioner new plugs new ignition leads, distributor cap and new brakes. She fires up everytime it's running green injectors, 2. 5 bar map sensor and a brand new mongoose exhaust. It could do with a tune up on a rolling road to get her running 100 spot on with the modifications but she runs and drives good as she is.
Exterior wise she is in good condition for her age paint comes up well with a good clean. There are a few storage dints around the car which a good dent man could take out. The Passenger wing again could do with a little paint as it has been marked (pictures available) but it's not vital and also a little dent in the boot. Wheels are in mint condition and come with good Avon tyres.
Interior wise again in good condition the leather interior looks like it has not been sat in with no wear marks/ sagging at all. Everything works as it should. The boot button is missing but I will source before the end of the sale.
Overall this is ideal for someone looking for a cheap Escort Cosworth for very little money with a little bit of TLC this car would be ideal for someone to enjoy as a useable classic or store away and take to shows. Please note I have tried to be as honest as I can with the car and if you are interested you are better off viewing.
With this in mind I'm after £13850 for the car.
