1981 Ford Transit, properly registered as a 'motor caravan'.
This transit was originally white and been painted black at some point, poorly! It is fitted with a 2. 0 Pinto which I'm told was completely rebuilt. The underside of this transit is incredibly solid. All spring hangers etc are all excellent.
As mentioned the bodywork has had a poor paint job. There is some bubbling around the rear arches but I am including 2 new repair panels in the sale. The front n/ s wing has also seen better days and I am also including a new replacement wing in the sale. For those in the know will appreciate how expensive these wings are, when you can get one!
The transit has been stripped out internally. My plan was to refit as a day van/ Motorsport type of van with seating and toolboxes in the back. It is a blank canvas for someone! The last picture shows how the camper looked many years ago.
The Mot ran out in June last year and it has been kept inside since. Obviously it is being sold as a project.
