Description
This is a really solid original Series 2 Stationwagon, we sold it about two years ago to the current owner who has used it gently and improved it.
The chassis is original and rock solid, the bulkhead is also very sound with little previous repair work. It has had a recent respray in deep bronze green with a limestone roof, as the old paint was a bit dull and flaky. Whilst not a perfect job, it looks smart and is a lot better than some of the finishes you find on old Landrovers!
The Deestone tyres were new when we sold it last time and haven't worn much since. The exhaust was replaced last year.
The original petrol engine starts easily and is nice and quiet (as they should be), the steering is nice and light once underway, and the overdrive makes cruising a bit quieter.
The interior has most of the original "elephant hide" seats, with a couple of worn ones replaced with new. The front and second row seats have belts fitted, the very rear ones don't.
The panels are all nice and straight and the doors open and shut nicely.
The Landrover will be sold with a new mot and service.
This is a really useful old thing, camping, tip runs, putting dogs in, people carrying, or just enjoying, it's cheap to run, zero road tax, cheap parts and insurance, little or no depreciation, what are you waiting for?
