Alfa Romeo Alfetta. 1973. 2 Litre Twin Spark. manual transmission. LHD. I have owned the car for over 5 years and is fully road legal with a full v5c in my name. It was imported into this country many years ago and restored to a high standard and professionally fitted with an Alfa 75 2 litre twin spark engine and running gear. The car runs and drives exceptionally well but it does have a chatter/ clunk in what appears to be the gearbox/ diff area only when idling and sometimes on initial clutch release when reversing. The chatter stops when you depress the clutch. I, m sure someone who really knows these cars could sort the problem quite easily but having done some research it seems to be a very common thing on the alfa transaxle gearboxes and not actually a problem at all. Just something to bear in mind. The car is not a show winner but is in exceptional condition for the year having been heavily waxolyd throughout at the time of restoration.. The dash has the usual hot country cracking but the lovely Alfa 156 leather interior is just superb. It does, nt have any boot trim panels which would be great if a set could be sourced and the heater was taken out at some time by a previous owner which I have. This is now a very rare car and a serious investment as these cars are only going to increase in value as the years go on. . £11, 750 ono.
