Welcome to the sale of our 1985 Mk2 Ford Transit. Pinto 1. 6 / 4-speed box 120 classic panel van.
We purchased this back in November 2010 as a running project and was in need of some TLC.
After further inspection, there was more work than first expected.
We then decided to give the van a full body restoration.
The mileage is showing 22, 933. We cannot warrant this.
V5 is present and in my name, we also have the operator's manual.
Over the years we have worked on this buying new panels welding them in all the rotten areas removed taken care of re-sealed and a completed re-spray inside and out.
We have plenty of pictures of the restoration these can be put in a file for the next buyer.
We repainted this to its original colour Carnival red. We decided to paint the roof and other bits in Anthracite grey all in a satin finish.
The wheels are original but have been professionally widened and fitted with a new set of brand-new tyres.
We also fitted adjustable electronic power steering, a great improvement.
Seats & Door cards have been re-trimmed and look great.
The underside of the van is in good order so nothing to worry about.
Lots more to say about the van but just too much to list, the amount of work that has been carried out to restore this van would be close to what the sale price is.
As you can see from the pictures it does look great and is a real head-turner and business promo van, we did plan on using this and taking it to shows, etc, but we are always busy and just do not have the time and it needs to be used now.
We are pleased with the end results and we are sure the new owner will be to.
Please remember this is an old classic van that's been restored, its not brand new.
As with any classic vehicle restoration, there is always another job to do.
