Ford Escort Mk2 1. 3L - RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Car is fully Uk registered. The car starts runs and drives but has had poor previous repairs on front floors which will need sorting out at some point
Body - MK2 Escort 2 door shell. Good inner wings, has the strengthening plates on it. Good original wings, doors, boot bonnet, rear arches, sills, boot wells and rear floors. Front floors have previously been repaired and its not done very well to be honest. Its looks solid enough but really wants two front pans done properly and the passenger footwell where it goes up the inner arch need repaired.. Scuttle looks to have been previously repaired on the end at drivers side. Paintwork isnt bad at all. Wont be everyones choice of colour scheme but the car looks fairly straight. 1300 Sport decals on the car but its just a basic model. Bulkhead lip looks to have been previously repaired. Where the bonnet catch sits on slam panel the strengthening ring which helps the bonnet close is missing and will need sorting.
Mechanics - Standard 1. 3 crossflow and 4 speed box.. Car starts runs and drives but will need a good checkover from front to back before sending it sideways down your local B Road. . All the suspension and brakes look completely standard. New Carb recently fitted so it starts runs and ticks over fairly well. Steering rack has a lot of play and will need replaced / refurbished. Home made lowering blocks on it which could do with changing
Interior - Been retrimmed to match the car. Fairly tidy but again wont be everyones cup of tea. Dashtop has been recovered. Uk dash clocks fitted but may need wiring looking at
Wheels - Good clean superlite style alloys with 165 55 13 tyres. Tyres look fairly new but look like a cheap set of ditchfinders.
You could get this on the road fairly easily but really needs all the front floors sorting out properly.. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote.
