Description
My 1961 Ford Zephyr convertible is for sale. It was built at Carbodies in Coventry and has the desirable electric power hood, and front disc brakes. Also has overdrive on 2nd and 3rd gears. The car is sound, safe, reliable, thoroughly strong in the chassis and frame, but does have blemishes to the paint, a small tear (1” long) in the fabric of the rear seat, and the engine bay is “tidy”. The hood is scruffy inside. It is MOT'd for 12 months.
In the last 2 years the following has been undertaken:
1. Overdrive gearbox rebuilt & replaced
2. Electronic distributor
3. Rear springs new
4. Rear dampers new
5. Speedo cable
6. Gauges overhauled
7. Side rear 1/ 4 windows rebuilt, and new rubber seals fitted
8. New boot lid chrome hinges
9. New brake cylinders
10. New fuel pump
11. Rebuilt carburettor
12. New interior light
13. Rebuilt heater / blower unit
14. Washer unit (electric), points, plugs, condenser
15. Servo overhauled
16. BMC overhauled
17. Power hood switch dismantled & repaired
Total spent in past 2 years is £6, 000 on repairs/ improvements
