Trade Bargain that has just arrived in stock, we have this very solid little upright Ford Popular in a very pleasant colour that suits the car well and makes a change from black. Been with the last owner for 11 years but used very seldom due to other comitments. The body in general is very good 'all steel panels'-some corrosion on bottom edge of both doors and boot lid but unless your looking for a show car I would leave as is. One slight downside was that the car spent some time outside, and unfortunately due to the fact that the roof fabric panel rubber had come out of the channel in one corner- it has made the headlining rather black and mouldy. We have repaired this now and all is well / guess could do with a bit of paint on the roof edge just depends how fussy one is.
The underside is very sound with no obvious problems there, last 6in of the exhaust tail pipe missing but rest of system still looks very good. Interior front seat covers fitted, passenger seat very good as shown in the photo/ drivers not bad with odd slit on the sides. Rear seat very good indeed and the door cards are not bad but bit faded "flowers in back are from when the last owner got married and he left them there and so have we".
Engine wise seems really strong and sounds very sweet with no rattles, and has correct air cleaner fitted. Starts every time on the starter button, choke cable needs repair but easy fix for the new owner. Had a few of these over the years, and this is one of the best driving examples I have had the pleasure to road test in a long time and it has a heater fitted (extra when new).
