In February 1953, this magnificent Bentley R-Type was sold new in the United States, where it was cherished by four successive owners until 2017.
It was then exported to the Netherlands, where it has belonged to a single owner ever since.
This Bentley R-Type is in exceptional original condition.
It retains all its original details and its bodywork was resprayed in its original colour in the United States. Meticulously maintained, it offers impeccable ride quality and road manners, and its automatic gearbox works perfectly.
Its 4. 6-litre straight-six engine runs with remarkable smoothness and produces more than enough power to propel the R-Type to impressive speeds. The luxurious, refined leather interior exudes the hushed ambience of a smart English club. The Bentley Type R succeeds the Mk VI (6).
During its development, Bentley internally designated it “Mark VII” (7), but once the final chassis series was completed, the marque adopted the “Type R” name, based on the new chassis numbering system with the RT prefix.
This model features a Standard Steel saloon body in very good condition! The chassis is also immaculate and free from rust.
This Bentley is fitted with specific Pyrene bumpers and additional Lucas SLR700 headlights. Seize this unique opportunity to acquire a Bentley Type R with left-hand drive!
