Description
Road-legal homologation – Pre Group A – Full restoration
I present for sale this Alfa Romeo GTV6 2. 5, from the final year of production, having benefited from a very high-level full restoration carried out between 2012 and 2020 by a rallying-focused mechanical engineer.
The restoration was performed from the bare shell, fully blasted on a rotisserie, with structural reinforcements at sensitive points, running gear and the engine bay. The initial project aimed at competing in historic racing, but was never realised. The car has therefore never raced since its rebuild.
Clear and coherent history:
* full restoration in Spain,
* subsequently acquired by **** Bloemendaal, a Dutch collector and recognised professional in historic competition cars, also a GTV6 Group A driver,
* kept for about 5 years in its showroom with only 250 km recorded,
* purchased by me in November 2025,
* registered in France in January 2026,
* Stellantis build certificate.
The V6 Busso 2. 5 engine has been completely rebuilt:
* piston rings,
* bearing shells,
* oil pump,
* refurbished cylinder heads,
* timing gear,
* water pump,
* aluminium cooling system,
* refurbished fuel circuit,
* new injectors,
* new BOSCH ignition.
The choice was deliberately conservative to preserve reliability and allow for potential future evolution towards historic Group A spec.
Transmission and chassis:
* gearbox serviced by Alfa Romeo specialists,
* new competition twin-disc clutch,
* transmission overhauled,
* front/ rear RSR Ron Simons Racing suspension,
* uniball joints,
* polyurethane bushings,
* adjustable geometry,
* reinforced anti-roll bars,
* competition braking with a dual master cylinder adjustable from the cockpit,
* vented and drilled discs,
* Ferodo Racing pads.
Safety:
* FIA-compliant welded roll cage,
* OMP FIA-approved seats,
* 6-point harnesses,
* automatic fire extinguisher,
* interior/ exterior cut-off switches.
Bodywork:
* shell fully blasted,
* 1. 5 and 2 mm steel reinforcements,
* three-coat full paint,
* new Carello lights,
* superbly finished presentation.
Recent works 2025-2026:
* intake, injection and ignition renewed,
* mass air flow sensor reconditioned,
* new fuel pressure regulator,
* new injectors and spark plugs,
* new ignition loom,
* numerous hoses replaced,
* engine seal updated/ sealed,
* universal rails on the driver's seat for MOT conformity,
* original Campagnola wheels with original-size tyres.
French registration in my name.
Technical inspection pending finalisation, no issues expected. The two new seat belts will be installed to ensure perfect compliance.
This car makes an excellent base for:
* VHRS,
* historic regularity,
* track days,
* fast road,
* or historic Group A project.
It is not FIA-homologated Group A, but an exceptionally solid base and technically advanced, today becoming increasingly difficult to reproduce to this level of restoration.
