Here I have for sale a rare 2002 51 Reg Range Rover P38 2. 5D Auto Westminster Special Edition. This model is one of the last P38 Range Rovers made. It is finished in Blenheim Silver with Ash Grey Leather The car was supplied new by North Eastern Motors Lemington Newcastle (now Stratstones).
It was registered 25th January 2002. In total I believe there was only 500 Westminsters produced to commemorate the P38, before production finished in 2002 and moved onto the L322 shape.
Of the 500 made 300 were petrol and only 200 were Diesels, so it is a rare car and already collectable classic and will only go up in value.
I purchased the car from a dealer in Scotland as a 2 owner car and he gave me the following information 1st owner 2002 till 2006, 2nd owner 2006 till 2016 when i purchased the car as the 3rd keeper. He had originally sold the car to the 2nd owner which i have a copy of the advert from 2006 when the car was sold to him with FSH 44k and for the cost of £15, 995. the 2nd owner was self employed so all his maintenance was put through his accounts, and unfortunately the service book has gone with it to and i have reflected this in the price, although the rest of the book pack is there and complete. That said though it has lots of paperwork with with the car and I have no reason to believe the car has not been well maintained. It has 10 previous mots so the mileage can be verified, it has 4 keys in total, complete with the all important number 1 and number 2 key all working as they should. I have spoken with Land Rover customer services and they will be forwarding me a build sheet and have informed me my car was number 90 of 200 nad have verified this in writing. I have also spoken with the British Heritage Car Museum and they have verified the car and can issue a heritage certificate. The car comes with the following specification.
Full Ash Grey Leather interior in excellent condition the rear seats look like they have hardly been sat on.
Body work in excellent all round condition for a 15 yr old car not perfect but very, very good.
Good P38s are getting hard to find now but this is definatley one of the better ones, I looked at loads of them before buying this one. As you would expect as it is not a new car a few minor age related marks around the car, but nothing major.
Mechanically the car drives great, engine gearbox etc all good, all air suspension works as it should in all modes, cruise control, heating and ventilation no book symbol displayed on heater, aircon works cold but not icey (needs re-gas)
full Harmon Kardon radio tape, 6 cd changer in boot, Subwoofer and sat nav.
