The Attractions
All DS are exceptional cars, but here we can admire one that is truly unique. The vendor explained to us that this is one of around 600 original cars fitted out at the time by Chapron. It is based on the flagship DS23 IE, with electronic fuel injection and Pallas trim; it also features the coveted five-speed manual gearbox.
This car has had only two previous and careful owners, which makes it even more extraordinary. We are told that the current owner is a retired Citroën mechanic, who has personally maintained this DS and checked it regularly over the years he has owned it, which confirms that it has received a lot of attention from someone who understands the unique technology of these cars.
This DS looks really good both inside and out, having been preserved rather than restored. We are told that only minor maintenance work has been necessary over the years, always carried out with the utmost respect for the vehicle's originality. This Citroën, which has always been lovingly cared for and rarely driven, has covered only around 125,000 kilometres and represents a rare opportunity to make your own a particularly well-preserved and mechanically sound example of a model of great charm produced in very limited numbers.
